In order for fabrics to be waterproof & breathable at the same time, the fabric will be required to apply a membrane. Water has bigger water molecule than vapour, so the membrane will have such characteristics. Currently there are two types of membrane 1. hydrophillic and 2. hydrophobic.

For hydrophillic membranes, the mechanism is to have the moisture on the inner fabric be absorbed by the membrane, and transferred to the outer layer. These membrane type include, TPU, PU, rPET.

TPU Membrane

Most cost effective membrane with waterproof and breathability attributes. Can be applied in 2 layer or 3 layer form.

TPU Membrane

PU Membrane

This type of membrane provides most stretchability, and can stand up to 50 washes. We can provide different levels of membranes based on your desired performance standards.

PU Membrane

Bio-Nylon Membrane

Derived from castor oil, a sustainable solution for high functional jackets. Can achieve 10K/15K performance. Available in 2 or 3 layer.

Bio Nylon Membrane

TPEE Membrane/ Recycled Polyester (rPET) Membrane

Post consumer recycled hydrophillic polyester membrane which is waterproof and breathable. Works best with recycled polyester face fabric, making it mono component, and would be easier to recycle in the future.

Hydrophobic Membranes

For hydrophobic membranes, their mechanism is to have tiny pores on the membrane surface, the pore size will be smaller than water droplet but big enough for vapor to pass through. These membranes are often known as "microporous" membranes or, "nanoporous" membranes. These membranes typically are more breathable and comfortable to wear than hydrophillic membranes, are the price is relatively higher.

PTFE/ Microporous Membrane

Similar to Goretex ®, our membrane has billions of microscopic pores which offers excellent breathability. This membrane is meant for extreme weather conditions, from -100C-260C, and can withstand up to 50 washes.

PTFE/ Microporous Membrane

AeroLite ® (Nanofiber Membrane)

Hermin proprietary development, membrane derived from electro spinning to formulate nano web membrane structure. Extremely light (1/3 weight of normal membrane) and highly breathable and waterproof.

AeroLite ® (Nanofiber Membrane)

Xpore ®

A ultra-thin membrane with 10 billion pores on every square inch, 20,000 times smaller than water droplet scattered relatively evenly. All of the materials and manufacturing process is non-toxic, a sustainable solution to lamination fabrics*Additional Link*

Bonded Fabric: 2 Layer

Bonded fabric finish are for fabrics that don’t require high performance but want face and back fabric to have contrast colors. We are able to bond solid fabric and check/plaid fabrics and ensure there are no skew issues.

Special Application Membranes

Color Membrane

For fabrics that require two tone effects, we offer color membranes that can be customized base on your pantone number. These membrane have waterproof attributes, very suitable for rainwear or outdoor jackets.

Abrasion Resistant Membrane

We offer PU based matte transparent membrane which are often used for bags and floor mats. Our clients often do digital printing/ traditional printing on fabrics, and apply the abrasion resistant membrane to apply durability.
